I am a collector and hobbyist restorer of classic European (mostly British) cars. I'm pretty indiscriminate as to marque, with an emphasis on Jaguars, but n particular, I love the British design ethic and the uniqueness of classic British automobiles, whether sports cars or cars for the "common man". The collection has been growing rapidly and though itt started as all British, a number of Italian, Swedish, German, and one French car have snuck in. My collection is all in various states of restoration from near-finished (For me, it seems that there isn't such thing as a finished restoration!) to barely begun. I own the cars because I like working on them and driving them. I lean towards originality over modification, though I'm not against anything subtle that makes the car more reliable, safer, or in general, a better driver.
