Registry: 1962 Jaguar Mark 2

This Jaguar Mark 2 was a California car all of its life, having spent 15 years in a barn before being restored for a new owner by Joe Potter and Bob Macherione of the Sports Car Shop locally to me, in Eugene, Oregon. Its new owner spared little expense in making this a fantastic car to drive. The car had a very high level restoration with a bare metal respray, all chrome redone to a show quality level, and a new interior with professionally reveneered and refinished wood. It also had a complete mechanical rebuild, including a new T5 5 speed gearbox, air conditioning fitted (requiring an alternator conversion), heated factory-optional reclining seats significantly upgraded brakes front and rear, with vented rotors, and power steering with a modern steering rack. The majority of the work, however isn't obvious at all and the car looks as if it were brand new. Under the hood there are some obvious give-aways of the updating done on this car, but nothing looks out of place or non-professional. To top it off the car drives absolutely perfectly! After putting a lot of time and money into the restoration, the previous owner to me wasn't comfortable driving the car and only put about 500 miles on it over six years. I was looking for a Mark 2, had seen this car in the last stages of restoration, and when I heard the car might be up for sale, I expressed my interest in it an after that the car came back to Eugene, I purchased it.
