This car is a genuine Righthand drive MGB/GT V8, one of just over 2500 made for the UK market. The previous owner imported it from the UK and since then he rebuilt the engine. At some point prevously the original overdrive 4 speed gearbox was swapped out for the LT77 5 speed as used in the Triumph TR8. The car is a solid, running, driving car, which presents well and drives very nicely. There really isn't much that needs to be done to this car going forward. The interior was redone with rally-style seats and panels and there are a few other non-stock features, but as a rare beast in the US and as a driver car, it's a great example. I purchased this car and an Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato 1600 from the same owner, who opted to sell them along with a few other cars, when he lost the space he was storing them in.
