This car has been extensively restored and modified by a previous owner, first with a complete colour change, with all new upholstery, away from the hideous Willow green with willow green interior to a dark BMW green metallic and a biscuit interior. Under the hood, the engine was rebuilt with 9:1 pistons and then a custom intake setup was built, adapting a 4.2L Series 1 triple HD8 carburettor manifold to the XJ6 cooling system and a custom airbox back plate was built to seamlessly adapt the airbox to work with three carburettors, yet still look like it was a factory fitment. The car runs and drives beautifully and reliably and the extra power is a welcome addition to an otherwise incredibly comfortable car. If there is any fault that the car still has, it is the 3 speed automatic transmission.
