Shot another coat of paint on Sunday after sanding most of the last coat off Saturday... Not perfect by a long shot but it'll do.

you moving right along.....I am still just getting things in primer, other than the occasional bracket finished in black topcoat....no primary color has been sprayed.

No garage, gotta get it buttoned up as quick as possible. Three months of too hot to go outside slowed progress to a crawl. Got parts squirrelled away all over the house; time to get 'em sorted out.

How well I know the tune to that song, I have been cleaning and ordering parts for my build and they are all in one lay down area for the most part with the larger panels handing from the rack especially hung for that use in the part. I also made progress during the heated summer but for sure at the slower pace of a bit in the morning and bit later long after the sun set. Just in for a coffee, wrecking yard run this morning for a few supplies and with the pigtail in hand, have fitted the high mount 3rd brake/cargo lamp for the little truck. Used nut insets on the cab for the attaching screws. The floor mats did not arrive today as was informed, maybe tomorrow. Not that I can use them this minute....just like to cross stuff off the list and lay aside knowing I have them when needed. Eliminating the worn drive clamps from all the hose.....I hate them things with a passion, thus the wrecking yard run for these. Only one maker comes to mind for the 1" rad hoses....gleaned 7 of them this morning.

I fitted an additional breather pipe . There was one from the mechanical fuel pump outlet to a catch tank. This filled with oil about 400ml , in about 200miles. With the additional breather piped from the rocker cover to the catch tank - still with the lower fitting attached, the catch tank now only has about 200ml of oil after 600 miles. Not what I had expected!

Have now got wheels on all the corners, so going round and rechecking all the bolts etc, that will take another day or two, also got some of the rubber trims out and around the glass areas so they can loose any curls.

Just in the process of looking at a big order to ESM for trims.

Will get there in the end.

1972 MM 2 door with 1140cc A series, worked head and 1/2 race cam.

Been doing some more maintaince items added a spin on oil filter adapter and changed the oil which was smelly. Today took the car to a radiator shop and had the engine block and radiator flushed and refilled the old antifreeze was real bad. I need to get working on the fuel gauge/sending unit as that would be helpful to have. Hoping to do a compression test this week. It's starting to get cold here in Maine so I'll need to put the old girl up for the winter soon.

I adjusted the clutch to eliminate grinding the gears while shifting. Relatively easy to address and able to reach without jacking it up! Shifting is much smother, now!

Did a compression test on my 948 Morris this afternoon here’s the result:

Cylinder 1 90 PSI
Cylinder 2 145 PSI
Cylinder 3 145 PSI
Cylinder 4 144 PSI. without oil

Cylinder 1 92 PSI
Cylinder 2 160 PSI
Cylinder 3 165 PSI
Cylinder 4. 160 PSI using 1 teaspoon of oil in each cylinder

Looks like Cylinder 1 has a valve problem the others look pretty good. Any suggestions as to how to fix the low compression on #1?. Maybe pull the head and replace the valves?

Likely
Low compression caused by worn or broken piston rings, leaking or damaged valves, a blown head gasket, or worst case a cracked cylinder wall.

Personally I'd check tappets first and hope the gap on cylinder one is wrong, thus effecting valve clearance, cheapest and easiest fix.
