Nov 12, 2015 Removed passenger side front fender.
Most bolts came undone just fine apart from the two lower ones at the rear of the wheel arch; they just sheared off. The hockey stick nuts were next to impossible. The piece broke anyway in wrestling it around so that will get replaced one day in any event. The inner wing tooks to be pretty solid. I think it will clean up nicely once its rubbed down and repainted. You can see the original color in places; sage green. Sometime in its poor life it also got red, black and white paint. I see no obvious serious rust though its inevitably more rusty towards the rear. Next step; front panel and drivers side fender.

Front panel removal tricky; the hockey stick nuts were impossibly badly rusted, so they were cut off. They needed replacement anyway. Drivers fender came off easily after soaking in PB. OK, engine out next...
Jan 31, 2016 - Drivers side front flitch / inner wheelarch repair
Using a hammer and dolly, molegrips, chisels, hammers, clamps and a butane torch my father law and I managed to wrestle the drivers side flitch extension panel back into shape. Also removed the bumper iron ready for replacement. A bit more banging around and it will acceptable enough for clean up and priming. My father in law is 81 and is fantastically active; he loves to work metal and I'm learning so much from him. He just signed up for a welding class at a local college!
