The photos were taken just after purchase while I still owned the 1966 Sunbeam Minx back in May of 1974. I drove the GT6 for several months until I realized that the car originated from back east, and had rust issues. The floor suddenly seemed bouncy, and the engine obviously needed work. I was such an innocent back then!
So that fall, I started to do the metal repairs which then resulted in the body being removed from the chassis, then the rebuilding of the engine. There never seemed to be the time and a decent workshop to do the needed work. The unfinished car then moved as we moved until the early 2000s, then was sold to a local enthusiast, who finished the restoration. Evidently, my first engine rebuild was well done!
