I found this GT6+ in 1991 at the back of a shop that specialized in repairing Triumphs. The previous owner brought the car in with the "engine" knocking. The company supposedly did the work; but once back with the owner, the engine still knocked. I then came along and purchased the Triumph with the engine in parts.

My colleague at the time had just installed a small block V8 in a customer's early TR6, so I was able to purchase the leftover engine and had another colleague take the parts and install them in my engine-less GT6+, along with an Ansa exhaust system. I also collected a set of wire wheels and adapters since I didn't like the wheels and tires on the car, but things stalled due to the front floors being rusted out.

Then in the early 2000s, I sold the car to Gary Skidmore who wanted a father-son project. The car is now complete in black with the wire wheels installed. She looks lovely, as can be seen in the right hand photo!
