Glenn, Thank you. Yes, she's mostly going to be a trailer queen, with just short neighborhood drives for now. We'll be taking her through AACA judging and Concours events for the next couple of years, and driving our '67 MGB in the meantime. The professional restoration cost the P.O. 2 1/2 times what we paid for the car - ouch!

Beautiful car, and I love that engine swap...Now _that_ is what I call a period correct upgrade !Sadly, I'm not as disciplined as you, since I would be, frequently, forced to drive and enjoy this wee British beauty ! cheers....JeffH

A lot of old car enthusiasts decry what they call over-restoration and prefer either things exactly as they left the factory or with a patina of age. Personally I love what has been done to this TA as its not only still in essence just that, but now also a real work of art. Well done Jim Wulf and his restorers.

Jan, I agree that the driving experience can be more rewarding than simply showing the car, but for me, not in this particular MG. While beautiful, it is much too cramped for me to drive for any distance, especially at my age. We do participate with the Tickford in the 50-60 mile tours that take place at each shows, but unfortunately it is very uncomfortable. I have other cars that I do drive much more; a '67 MGB, and a '39 Lea Francis Corsica. The Lea Francis is 3.5 feet longer and a full foot wider than the Tickford and it allows for a much more pleasant driving experience.

Jim, I am almost 75 and have driving with my wife last years in my TC to the UK, Corwall, to North Italy and France. With my MG Pa (1935) two rally's, last one more as 500 km. And the Zandvoort Vintage Revival 2021.But of course the Tickford is beautiful/Users/bjcmvanrijckevorsel/Desktop/IMG_0727.jpeg

Couldn't stand that two MGBs were rated above this (nothing wrong with MGBs - just didn't seem right). Gave you a 10 which you deserve anyway. Very nice!

Absolutely beautiful over restoration. Having owned about 20 T series MGs, including a TA Tickford in the early 1970's, I always felt the Tickfords epitomized understated elegance. I remember breaking the crank in mine (MPJG engine) on a trip from Ohio to my home near Albany, NY. However, I share an opinion with my friend, the late Gordy Morris, "a car is only original once and cars were meant to be driven." Enough said.

Cars like this are not just interesting old vehicles but works of art that will live on forever while old car nuts like us exist.
