Hi to all,
I am 1 1/2 years into a full frame up restoration. I am looking to see if there are any woody owners in So. California. I would like to look at their cars up close. I need to see how the rear windows fit into the wood and how the back seat is mounted. My car did not have a rear seat or windows. I live in Chino Ca and can drive to you. My phone is 909 215-6622. Please call if you can help me.
Thanks,
Darrell DeFazio

I know I'm a bit far from you in Gilbert ( Phoenix) AZ but I'm hosting a micro/mini car gathering in my backyard on November 13th. Look at the meet up section under South West Unique Little Car Show for the details. I'll have my two travellers there and at least one other plus sedans and trucks.

Pat,
Thanks for your help. What I am looking for are photos of the sliding rear window tracks top an bottom. For both sliding windows top and bottom. So I can see the track and weather strip and locks. The rear seat how the bottom mounts with hinges. How the hinges fasten to the car and how they look with the seat folded up and the back down. How the back seat pivots to fold and how it stops when up. Any latching devices. Also from the rear doors the cross metal post that supports the floor there is a piece of metal stamping that goes from the center of the cross support forward. I am missing that piece. I do not have the wood floor and do not know how far forward it goes. If you could send me contact info maybe we can talk over the phone. My # is 9092156622.
Thanks again!

Darrell,
What year is your Traveller? The window latches are different on the later cars. From what I understand they actually work!
My sliding windows are automatic; they open on their own just driving 2 miles around our block on our rough Sonoma County roads!
I emailed you some photos. It’s raining here again (10+” last weekend) so I didn’t pull it out of the garage to take the shots. I can take more when the weather is clearer, or if there are other details you need, let me know. My outer window channel is too short, someone being cheap?, & the back window locks are missing and the seat latches are missing the anti rattle strips. The story of my adventure with this car… a sort of “drivable project” I had to have.
If you look on BAT for MM Travellers there are many with bunches of pictures. (But the wood is all covered up so you can’t see the detail you are after there.) Many look like they didn’t install the sliding window locks at all.
Maybe some other folks with more original Travellers could send a few pictures?
Pat
