Finally got to fixing my indicator light switch with the stalk horn push. Took it all apart, cleaned the contacts, reshaped the curved copper conductor, then reassembled everything. Took about three hours total time. I had to drop the steering column and remove the glove box to access to harness wiring. I sort of feel proud of myself for doing it and finally getting it done!!! Yipee!!!

glad you are met with success....that appears to be a Grote (signal stat) signal switch. This is what is on my current project, the 60 truck. The PO had installed this prior to my taking ownership. If I had access to a parts vehicle, I would go back stock in heartbeat. Not that there is anything wrong with the unit, it has the 4 way flashers built in and the head light dipper switch is all inclusive....it a personal thing I suppose....physical size.
I've seen better days but they have cost me more money..!

Big A, I would have kept using the original indicator/horn push switch that was there since 2007 when I bought the van but it worked intermittently. Hence I installed the Grote and I do like it’s functionality. So I guess now I have the best of both worlds.
In regards to my steering wheel shudder/shake, I am leaning more towards bad tie rod ends. Have not had time to investigate it further. I installed the MG disc brakes about seven years ago without any bearing problems that would cause the shudder. I do not think it is warn bearings are or been installed backward. The rotors and pads have only about 8,000 miles and since I rarely go fast enough to get the rotors that hot to warp them seems unlikely. Besides, if the rotors were warped there would be pulsating or pumping feel instead of steering wheel shudder/shake.
Thanks for your comments, and advice.

with the added information....yes I would look to suspension/steering components. As I said in the post, other than the physical size and not self canceling....I have no other issues with the Grote switch either...lets us know what you find.
