Our quarter panel window catch came off from our Morris minor. What holds it in place fixing wise, is is glue, rubber or soldering. Can anyone offer advice on this, regards Kevin

Just the part that rotates or the mounting plate to the frame? The former is riveted and the latter is spot welded. For this on you could try epoxy.

Ahh thank you. Yes, it’s the locking catch which rotates. It has come apart.
I’ll try epoxy first then a spot weld.
Much appreciated, Kevin

The pin that holds the catch is held in same way as an 'old school' rivet.. its pushed into the holder and the end is compressed to bell the end out to form an interferance fit.. with the 1/4 window out and glass removed from its frame, you can do this on the bench with suitable punch and hammer.. as stated above..the catch holder is spot welded to the 1/4 window frame.. you can buy complete new 1/4 window assys from ESM.. as of yet the catch is not available separately.. but it was used in a number of other brit cars .. an early MGB catch, whilst not the right part, can be adapted to fit and will do the job..
