Hi all. New member alert.
Will admit now to having an eight instead of a Minor but hoping to pick up wee gems of info anyway.

Alex,

The Morris 8 is certainly a beautiful car, is it a series E?

All the best Johnny

John , Manchester UK.

Hi all , have had my '58 four door for nearly 2 years now , have always hankered after a Zetec MM Sleeper and it's well on its way now...

Marina Front disc brakes , 2.0 Ford Zetec Blacktop , Ford Type 9 5-speed gearbox , Twin cooling fans ( one auto the other manual ) just fitting the Ford Escort Mk2 back axle at the moment ( 3.77 Quaife ATB )...

To do

Four wheel ABS , 9 gallon tank , comfy seats etc. etc..

John

No problem, it started with my '68 Lotus elan plus2 , within the first month decided it wouldn't get round the approaching corner as fast as I was going...unable to cadence brake jumped on the pedal and slid across the road....some thinking time later decided that with a bit of fettling I could graft on the abs off a Renault 25 , which i did
All that was required was to plumb the abs system into the brake lines and castellate the discs front and rear , mounting the sensors on the calipers....it worked...i was able to stop as quick as I could go...smiling smiley
Sold the Lotus last year to fund the MM . The Focus that donated the engine has also donated the abs system ( and as a brucie bonus the ecu is not a separate unit but built into the abs pump.)
The drums have been castellated and sensors mounted , when the new back axle is fitted I'll castellate the front discs and start the wiring...

I have made this sound easier than it really was , to save my typing fingers..

Thanks John yawning smiley)

Neat clutch master cylinder thumbs up
Do you intend to fit reservoirs in the engine compartment please?

Did you fit an ECU with your conversion please?

You've added a high output alternator
which you run at 14v.

Why do you need a high output alternator please?
Why sit with 14v please?

The remotes are in the engine bay, have updated the photos to show...

The Megasquirt sits nicely on the parcel shelf just in front of my right knee...

The alternator puts out 13.5V with plenty of Amps.....two fans, ecu, injectors , spot lights , satnav, bluetooth, quad speakers ,high level fog lights etc etc etc..
