My take on what wire to buy for a job.

The diagram below gives key information
about which size wire to choose for a job thumbs up

Lucas / blade crimp connectors come in three ratings.

Red, which takes a wire that is Ok up to 10 Amps.

Blue, which takes a wire that is Ok up to 15 Amps

Yellow, which takes a wire that is Ok up to 24 Amps.

The currect ratings above are the continuous ratings.
Many sellers give the intermittent rating, which is higher.
Intermittent rating could also be called a useless rating thumbs down

Best buy / stock the following gauges.

Red blade connectors . 16 AWG wire

Blue connectors . ... . . 14 AWG wire

Yellow connectors . . . . 10 AWG wire

In other words, if you are working with Lucas
crimp connectors, best stock 3 wire gauges thumbs up

16, 14 and 10 AWG

If you like to keep things simple, buy the
colour wire to match the connector colour thumbs up

You can always wrap or use woven loom
if you don't like the Abraham's coat effect smiling smiley
