I forgot yours is a van, not a pickup! The lights make more sense...

a truck would have a direct need for a rear-view mirror and the lights would be icing on the cake....plus night and day flipper. Maybe a NZer will chime in on the application of a mirror on a van ESPECIALLY with the rear glass insert in the cargo box making it basically a station wagon concept..to my way of thinking it would be a requirement with the glass mod..if not for just a later model a requirement. My van also does not have the original box as it had the side glass and this weakens the structure as it requires the inner frame to be cut and it is not at that time ever configured with optional metal to brace the box. Plus, I care not so much for that look either but concede the idea and practicality of the build. The man I got the van from located a small rear glass cargo door equipped box.....definitely a lot better proportionally in my opinion...he told me the original box was consumed beyond practical by the tin worms.
