I'm going thru this issue right now .
I thought maybe changing to "soft" linings would help . But no change .
I have just stripped the servo and have found it loaded with brake fluid , so something is stuffed .
I'm off to the brake shop with it Monday .

I was just talking with another morrie owner and he recalled his hard pedal was fixed by new wheel cylinders . I guess I'm going to check that out also .

Good luck with your car .

Hi, to check that the servo is working, you need to warm the engine up then switch it off. Press the brake pedal four or five times to dispel any remaining vacuum. Then hold the footbbrake on and start the engine. You should feel the brake pedal give a little, if so, the servo is working.
If your brakes are still hard then you could have the wheel cylinders seized.
I had this on the current car that I have. The previous owner went to great lengths to point out the servo but the brakes weren't as good as they should be. A new set of wheel cylinders and a good bleed cured the problem!
