I think you also may need to record the distance form the right angle metal pate that goes to the inner fender to the face of the nut so to get this back to correct length. I recorded approx. 2.125 inches on both the 1954 and the 1969 here at the house and as mine had been cut by the PO (yeah, post office..lol) for a modified front install, I am going back to the 2.125 on my stubs inserts and weld them in place.



I've seen better days but they have cost me more money..!
