As far as I know, only the lights and wiper knobs come off. The choke and starter knobs are molded on their shaft. For the two removable ones, each has a small hole that you can put a nail or jeweler's screwdriver into and release a detent (as far as I remember without uncovering the car).

Has anyone bought and installed the set of four that show up on ebay? Do the starter and choke stems have barbs or something so that the new ones can be pressed on? Meaning of course the old ones probably are ruined after removal.

I bought the four knob set from UK and have so far only swapped the lights and wiper. I have been thinking to polish and lacquer the choke and starter.

I just spoke to the people who sold me the dash knobs and they said the only way to get the other two off is to grind them off then fit the new ones using eurathane.

I bought a new set of knobs last year at a British car show for $2 and have been waiting to install them. Thanks for the information.
