Good Morning from NY

I am restoring my 59 Traveller---just finished assembly of timber which went surprising well since this was my first attempt at this! My questions are as follows:

1. Are the corner brackets bolted and welded into the lower bracket or just bolted?
2. Closing plates---are they welded or just screw the plate into the foot rail and not weld?
