Bullmotif.com is the ticket

MG Midgets, AH Sprites, and Austin Minis share lots of parts, so Moss and VB have the engine stuff, at a price, and Ebay always has odd bits. But in my experience THE place to shop is Bullmotif.com. No, I am not trying to plug for my pal Stuart and his operation, and I hope readers will post other sources, too. But Bullmotif has always done right by me. They have just about every part possible, and generally all at excellent prices (like half what the others ask for the same stuff). Sure, there is shipping from across the pond, but that included it is still cheaper, and stuff usually arrives within a few days, about as fast as from anywhere else.

I add these guys are sort of "straight", and "by the book" in that they assume you are repairing your car, not making some innovative frankenstein, stuffing an MGB engine into the bay with a Chevy S10 rear end.
Oh, they have a few alterations, but not many.

Lastly, there are very few 1275 engines in English Morris Minors. For that stuff, well MGExperience is the place to go.

That's good info. I have friend's with a 67 they call "Baby", it was Jim Jone's of New Orleans MM. Very well restored and a very nice car. It has a 1275 in it.

Although the new owners love Baby, I'm the one that takes care of it for them, just as a favor to the dear friends they are.

The story about getting the car for them is worth posting, I'll do it one day.

Here is "Baby", ready to go under the Christmas tree:

I have used both. I get much better service from ESM. Rapid replies to emails, status reports on shipping every step of the process, super fast shipping and prompt replacements of parts if something is not right.

I buy a LOT of MM stuff (much more than Spridget stuff) because besides my two, I have a lot of friends with MM's here in SF who want me to keep their cars "tip-top".

Last year I bought complete front suspension (kingpin) kits for both both sides. The two sets were not identical, but the real problem is one side had incorrect washers to complete assembly of the upper trunnion to shock. I made a couple requests for replacement of the correct part and not only did I not receive it, I never ever got a reply back of any kind. ESM would have send me an acknowledgement and the replacement "no questions asked" immediately. I was forced to use the old part to finish the job. It wasn't a big deal in this case, but when buying a two complete kits (not cheap), reusing parts is something I shouldn't have to do.

Have you tried ESM which stands for East Sussex Minors. Their web address is www.morrisminors.com. Although they are local to me, in the next county in fact, I know guys in Australia and New Zealand who swear by their fast and accurate service.

I agree with the comments about ESM. I ordered a petrol tank on Friday, and it arrived the following Tuesday here on the West coast of Canada. Unbeatable service, good prices, and a broad selection of parts.
