1961 Morris Minor Pickup "Morris, Of Course"
One set of 12 PIRELLI SEAT STRAPS (1956-71 ALL MODELS) - will do one seat.
(purchased: October 2022)
These are Pirelli rubber, better than the white elastic impregnated into cloth sold through other suppliers at ~$170.
Purchased 10/2022from ESM
Includes clips to fit holes in frame. 7 straps for the base, 5 back, does one seat.
Plus two extras straps that are also surplus to my needs, somehow.

$50 USD, plus shipping at actual cost.

(ESM price 65 GBP + shipping to US, 18.50 GBP)

Also includes- FREE - 4 pair SEAT FRAME C CLIPS
normally 1.88 GBP/pair - Surplus to my needs

and approx. 20+ used, and usable, upholstery edge clips, recently treated with rust preventative (dilute phosphoric acid)
these are commonly available through upholstery suppliers in the US, so buy new should you prefer. 20 will do two seats.

There are several excellent videos on YouTube showing how to rebuild and upholster your seats- for Minis, but seats are the same for this purpose. You can easily make a tool to fit them using a piece of wire coat hanger.
I followed these instructions and the seats turned out to be excellent. Newton Commercial has instructions you can download.

Where do those circular clips go? I've never seen those. Not used on Minors. The base fabric is held in place with a rubber tube in the groove.

I did not find these on my seats either....though I have to say they were pretty much just a base frame by the time they made it to me. I did remove the older clips left in place when I prepped the frames and they are as those seen on the ESM website under seat covers ***

I've seen better days but they have cost me more money..!

I used clips to hold the leather to the frame. It's a common alternative to the rubber tube and easier to install06659+*-023. I followed the YouTube videos, One of the seat frames was missing the tube and the remaining tube was in very poor condition.
I ordered the circular clips as they are listed by Newton for the Morris, and then I found I didn't need them as I used the more commonly used (here) flat clips. That's why there are free. Perhaps there are Morris frames where they are necessary.
