FS One pair of NEW rear disc brake caliper mount brackets. These brackets are modified Creative Spridgets brackets. They have been re-drilled to position the caliper in front of the axle and above the spring. These are the brackets that I had provided to Creative Spridgets so they could have a pattern for a production run for the Morris Minor application. This conversion will fit within a stock Morris Minor wheel and provide a superior park brake.
This rear disc conversion is a DIY project. This will mount a 1995-1998 Sentra/200SX rear caliper to the Morris Minor rear axle. The conversion uses the companion Sentra/200SX 9" rear rotor. I can include instructions on how I did my conversion. In the end you will be responsible for your workmanship.
On their website, Creative Spridgets shows the details of this conversion for Spridgets using the same caliper mount bracket, caliper, and rotor. Some details for the Morris will be different.
This conversion is not recommended if you have the 8" Midget front brake conversion, there will be too much bias to the rear without regulating the line pressure. This conversion will really shine when used with the ESM Ford front disc conversion or some other conversion that is larger than 9". My Morris has 9.75" vented front disc brakes and the balance is perfect.
I will sell this pair of brackets for $100 including the freight to any address within the 48 United States. I do not export so please don't ask. That's right, the $100 is all in INCLUDING the freight.
I do accept PayPal.
The only reason that I am selling these is because at my age I doubt I will be doing any more brake conversions and I'm cleaning out the "gold mine".
Below will be an image of the conversion on my 67 Morris Minor.
If it was good 60 years ago, does that mean it can't be improved?

Hi Charlie,
Seems like I like your stuff. I'd love to add these to my garage. Let's make a deal. Also, any instructions you have on how you did both front a rear disc conversions including part number and sources if possible.
Thank you,
Paul

Hi Charlie,
I received the rear disc brackets, thank you. I think the 4 wheel disc brakes with Sentra vented front brakes is definitely the right choice for my Traveler. I would like to duplicate your set up as it seems pretty straight forward . I do have few questions. After following the postings on the forum.
1. Did Gerard provide the caliper mounting bracket or did you fabricate it. I don't remember what you told me.
2. what is the difference between the midget and morris minor hubs that you chose the midget?
3. Why did you mount the rotor inboard on the hub?
4. Why use the disc drum calipers with the 4 wheel disc rotors?
I watched Joel's presentation on the rear wheel disc install. It's very complete. Thank you for directing me to it.
On another note in "it's a small world" department, apparently your friend Bill and my son Joe at Toyota are buddies who see each other regularly.
PS. Thanks for the wiper mount you sent.

Paul,
Hope this answers your questions on the fronts
1 I did not get the adapters from Gerard, However I did provide the CAD drawings to him.. Last I heard he had 10 pairs made and they may be sold out.
2/3 I suppose that the Morris hubs could be used with a different rotor. I mounted the rotors inboard on the Midget disc brake hub because the offset worked out for alignment,
4 Both the disc/drum and 4 wheel disc calipers are the same. The factory supplied bracket is different between the 2 brackets. (Images below) The legs on the 4 wheel brackets are longer than the legs of the disc/drum applications. The alignment works better using the 9.75" Sentra rotor and the disc/drum mount bracket.
As an aside I was working on using a Toyota Cressida rear rotor to get about 10.5" diameter front disc brakes that are adaptable to both the Morris hub and the Midget hub for the Morris Minor applications. That rotor is mounted outboard on each hub. Since the Midget and Morris have different offsets, there is a difference in the caliper mount spacing and also using the 4 wheel disc caliper factory mount bracket. That conversion will require14" alloy wheels, it will not fit within the factory Morris 14" wheels. I presume 15" wheels could also clear.
I am currently running the Sentra/ Cressida combination on the front of my MGB GT. I have feedback that the MGB conversion is effective.
In addition I did a proof of concept for the front on Midgets using the Midget hub along with the 9" and 9.75" Sentra rotor as well as the 10.5" using the Cressida rotor. I don't believe that anyone has done any of those conversions.

Paul,
If Gerard is out of stock, the DXF files are laser cutter ready. You may be able to get them made locally. I'll bet there is a job shop in your area that can cut them out.
