For Sale is a cast iron engine back plate for an A-series 1098 engine. This has the smaller oil pump and crankshaft holes (as compared to the plate for a 1275 engine). It accepts a rib-case gearbox.
It is common for these cast iron back plates to crack between the crankshaft hole and the oil pump hole. The plate being offered DOES NOT have cracks.
