Hi Everyone, I can't work out a year model for my car, can anyone help. somewhere between 50 and 57. lol. Just getting ready to start my restoration.

Definitely a Series II as opposed to MM due to the modified cross member in the engine bay and the long bonnet. The one piece grille might have been replaced but is in keeping with the previous mention items, so 53 to 55. Australia built used different numbering so you'll need to confirm that locally.

If that ID plate is original, Nuffield became BMC in Australia in 1954, so my guess is It’s a 52 or 53 based on Mist Green if AU followed UK color schemes.

My question is were ID plates ever riveted, instead of screwed on, on the bulkhead as in this car?
