Some years ago I came across the remains of a low light Morris Minor in a salt lake in West Australia.
There was not much left of the car, most of it had dissolved into rust.
I could identify that it had had a screwed in rear window but the front appeared to be normal i.e. held in by the rubber there were no signs of a screw in glass .
It had the remains of a single right rear tail light, no sign of a left tail lamp on the what was left of the left rear guard, other than that there was not much else, certainly it was not a restoration prospect.
I removed the ID plate which itself is quite badly corroded but I have managed to recover these numbers:
MNR either a forward slash or a Y followed by a S [MNR/S?]
I cannot read anything else, the numbers are only readable because they were stamped in.
I know there are members who keep records of MMs so I hope they can identify this car.
