Hi, newbie.... Does anyone know where I can buy and have shipped to Australia, a pair of Armstrong shock absorbers for the rear at reasonable prices?

I've heard stories of a firm in Brisbane that re-conditions them, but the run at about $300 each.

Try contacting Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre in the UK. They have a very informative and interesting website. Phone is 0044 117 300 3753 and the man to speak to is John Knowles.I am a new Morrie addict having owned my 1956 803cc model for only a few months. I bought some Armstrong damper parts (and some other bits and pieces, really cheap) from Charles Ware's just a couple of days ago and found them fantastic to deal with, extremely knowledgeable and with excellent pricing, even considering the freight cost. They haven't arrived yet but hopefully will be soon. I have found in this short time that buying parts from a company such as this will cost me about a third (yes, a THIRD!!!) or sometimes even less, of the price charged by one or two specialist suppliers in NZ. It's certainly worth a phone call, even if you do have to do it late at night due to the time difference. Good luck!!
