I don't have a minor I have a midget, but someone sent me three morris minor related parts lists and I figured it might be helpful to scan and post them on my little website in case anyone wanted to see them. I tried to make it so that the PDFs are indexed and searchable for ease of use and for the most part they are. The search function isnt perfect, but maybe it will help someone. Eventually I hope to have more lists up (specially midget and sprite ones) so that LBC owners can cross reference and find parts better. Anyhew, try the following links and enjoy. If anyone objects to my posting these online, let me know and I will remove them immediately.

AKD 3541 BMC Mechanical Service Parts List (Morris Minor 1000, circa 1967)

AKD 3574 BMC Mechanical Service Parts List (Morris 1/4 Ton Van & Pickup, Circa 1967)

AKD 3575 BMC Body Service Parts List (Morris 1/4 Ton Van & Pickup, Circa 1967)

I know that the following are spridget lists, but I hear several drivetrain parts are interchangeable so having them in this thread might help someone figure out which parts are interchaneable. That way it might be easier to order parts from moss mor other vendors that speciallize in midget stuff but not minors.

I just bought this over the weekend to add to the online collection.

Just got a copy, scanned and uploaded. To be honest I wish I had seen it before purchasing because many of the pages were faded or badly printed. There were also cases of the illustration plates not matching parts pages. I hope it helps anyway. there has to be something better out there.

This is the MKI/MkII Sprite & MkI Midget list. Maybe it will help some of you find parts when you crossreference this list to the ones for the minors. To my eyes it looks lik ethe mk1 sprite used the same exhaust manifold as the minor.

What a wonderful resource! Thanks from me too. I always found the illustrations in the parts book to be more helpful than those in the service manual. I have not seen these available at other LBC sites/forums. May I post a link on another forum please?

You can try to post a link on other forums, but some of them don't allow such postings because they arent sure who owns the copyrights to them. Neither am I.

I am often questioning such contents in regard to CDs, DVDs and written material, especially as I am a regular author myself.
I have it on good authority that maximum international copyright for any original document is 50 years, and as long as the document is whole and has not been altered then it will be well and legal to have and use. The problems can occur where someone takes the document as cut and paste, and starts commercial action such as reselling, the information in parts of its original form.
The most reliable way to ensure you have legal right to such postings, should they be less than 50 years since first publication, will be to attempt to contact the original author/ assignee and ask for permission in writing. If you are able to prove that you have made an effort to contact original author/ assignee any potential claims brought against you will have little if any weight. Especially where company documents are concerned the original publisher may often no longer exist in any form even a few years after first publication.
In the majority of cases where the original owner/ assignee may have a claim against an infringement it is unlikely that a user of such would be prosecuted where it can be proven for private use and not commercial gain.
I believe the above holds true the world over, but if you have any doubts go talk to the librarian at your nearest central public library, technical college or university.

See you on the road!

Good information, Paul.

I tend to the side of getting old, rare, discontinued information to as many people as possible, and if a copyright owner contacts me and asks me to remove it, I do so, and that's the end of it. I've never been subject to any legal action over the last 14 years of running these websites.
