Years ago I brought new Mini bumpers back that way. Back then You could bring just about everything you could carry.

After 911 every thing has changed with the new TSA security.
You want to get attention at the airport bring any part with wires and they get weird.
They even were going to take my solder sucker from my tool kit on one trip.
Then there was the part that was a bearing spring for a carburetor.
The word bearing raised a red flag so they took me a side in Florida.
Well the it seems you can not bring in ball bearings.into the USA.
It took me hours to finally get the guy to understand it was like a bearing wall. No ball bearings involved.
I thought i would never get them to release my parts in Florida.
After they finally released every thing i missed my flight to California.
There were no more flights till the next day so my companies lawyers got involved.
The airlines gave me a voucher for a free round trip flight for being delayed.
Customs TSA agency sponsored a good meal and hotel room for the night.
This time they picked the wrong person to delay because of my position with a Company.

I read on an early post that some have used motorcycle mufflers.

I have a Harley motorcycle muffler on mine, works great, looks ugly on this car. Putting in order for Manifold.

These are all great inputs but has nothing to do with the original poster. He does not have a 1-1/4 inch system. The Series MM has 1-1/8 or possible 1 inch pipe.

Over here Harley Davidson almost new mufflers are cheap, They remove them from new motorcycles and install noisy ones before delivery. As there is almost no demand for the take offs you can get them for about $20.00 each. Some dealers even give them away, they have stacks of them.

It would take a whole Minor to pay for one of those.

Hi all , thanks for all the inputs, helpful and humorous, in the end I mentioned I was over in the UK for work
so I thrashed over to Bull Motif and picked one up along with some other bits and bobs, wrapped it and checked it in,
the tsa had a good go at it and slaughtered my packaging but it made it to the end without any drama

The original is very small at the back end when compared to the front. I made mine all a bit similar in bore size.
