Hi all, my parents (with my prodding) just acquired a lovely 67 Morris Minor. (his name is Sidney). He's remarkably complete, except that some previous owner replaced his tail lights with a pair off a VW. I know! the shame.

I'd love to find a good deal on some tail light bases. The lenses aren't as crucial because I know they can be gotten, but the lamps themselves (as I'm sure you know) are a bit spendy. Any one got some squireled away?

Hello all,
I'm Yohan from Oregon. I was looking for AH parts for my Sprite and found a lot of Morris Minor Parts while traveling abroad. I am coming back on the 8th and can help some of your guys out with real cheap parts (small and light). I found a lot of steering wheels (some already reconditioned).

I did a quick ebay search and found the prices here to be close to half the price.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MORRIS-MINOR-1948-56-MG-TD-TF-STEERING-WHEEL-PROF-RECOND-REDUCED-/180492210222?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a062c902e&vxp=mtr

Please let me know what you are interested in and how much you wanna pay, They don't have set prices here I just have to bargain. They are still very cheap. (Do you know how much it might cost to ship within US).

I can get small items that can fit in a 50Lb luggage.

I am going back to the yard this weekend please let me know early.

Here are what I might be able to get you

Steering wheels
Speedos
Hub Caps
Side Mirrors
other small and light weight stuff

Please know that I am not running a business. I know how hard it was for me to find AH stuff so I just want to help you out.

email me at mailyohan@gmail.com

Need a title for our 59 Morris minor traveller, car was purchased in Florida at a swap meet and we had the title in our hand. We left the car and the title at our home in Florida, family used our home and now we do not have the paper work. We guess it was thrown out. We went to the swap meet and talked to the guy we got the car from and he never did change the title over ether so we need a title from the USA any state we think would do. If someone has any ideas or know were we can get one along w/ number plate ( we do have ours) not that its bad there was a title. Help. Contact me. Would like to keep the 1959 year that's why we bought it.

I read somewhere that this carb works with the Minor too, so I thought I would throw it up on here and see if anyone wants to give it a good home.

I have a single, complete HS4 from an Austin America. I recieved it from a friend of mine because she knew I had a British car (MG) and thought I might be able to use it. I don't really have a need and would like to sell it. The story is my friend has a repair shop up in Chicago and it's been sitting there for years. It is complete and aside from a good clean up and some new gaskets, appears that it would be good to go.

I would like to get $50 for it shipped.

I have managed to collect several things in my garage that I don't need. I have 4 Morris hubcaps in what I would call "unrestored" condition--lots of pitting but no dents. $25.00 for the set. I also have a set of original Morris wheels-these are in nice shape as I have cleaned and Por15-ed these. $40.00 for the set. Plus I have a nice set of the 13" Rostyle wheels that have the 4x4 bolt pattern. These are in good shape, but you would need to clean, sand, and paint these if you want them looking new. $30.00 for the set.

I am in Orlando, FL, so the buyer will have to pay the shipping or either come by and pick them up if you are visiting the Mouse out at Disney. If you are interested, I will send you some pictures.

Hi Guys

I am the lucky owner of a 2 door 1959 Morris 1000. After a year of ownership we have finally got the car running great. And now it is time for stage 2. After buying my first Minor in 1992 and having owned several, I have found that it is uniquely attractive to young people and so I am about to start on a healthy eating project.

The project will be visiting several areas in and around the Clay Country of Cornwall. We will be building a healthy eating trailer out of the rear end of a Morris Minor. I want to rescue a rotting shell but I haven't got one to rescue. Does anyone know of one that we could use for the project.

I will post pictures and try to keep everyone up on the project.

Thanks

As some of you know I was looking for a Traveller and I found one (1964) in Washington State. Now I have found one right here in the Sun Valley, Idaho area. It is at the storage club where I store my 64 Corvette. This is the Sun Valley Auto Club.

It is a 1968 light mist green, black interior, RHD, all complete and with what looks like a 1275cc MG engine. Still has British plate which says that it was white and left UK in 1996. Last registered in Oregon mid 2000. Been in storage for awhile. Mechanic just went over car. Wood needs work but not replacement. Paint good. Interior good. Obviously, the car needs detailing. Tires/wheels good. Runs. Rust in floor pans( so probably needs new pans) but rest of car good. The owner of SVAC bought it and would like to sell it as is. Apparently owner left it and moved to Russia. Any interest and I can get name, number, email, etc.

Let me know if I can help.
If anyone's carpet is tatty and they want a cheap but not perfect replacement this would likely be ideal. It's listed online under "Rare & Specials". The Newton Commerical equivalent is 113 pounds. I'm not affiliated in any way with ESM (other than as a satisfied customer) so if you're interested check their website and hope no one got to it before you.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on the forum - thanks for letting me join! :)

I have been looking for the right Traveller for a few months now.....I prefer Old English White or Cream colour, but would consider Almond Green too. I would prefer a Trav that doesn't require any heavy restoration e.g. welding or wood, though minor cosmetics are not a problem.

I can't afford a showroom condition model, but think my budget can stretch to a clean, well-running example that needs a little bit of tlc.

If anyone knows where my perfect Traveller is, I would love to hear from you!

Thank you

Hey, I'm a regular on the MG Experience Midget forum & I'm selling some shirts. I made one for my dad for Xmas & posted a picture of it over at the MG Experience. Long story short is as follows: I sold a bunch really fast, ordered some more from a local printer & opened a store on Etsy so that anybody who wants one can bounce over to my Etsy Store and buy their shirt using whatever payment method they prefer.

Interested? The price is $15/shirt. http://www.etsy.com/shop/SoloistSpriteClub
International shipping is no problem. However, group orders will definitely cut down on international shipping costs

Can't buy through Etsy for some reason? Contact me through this thread and we'll see what we can do. I was doing it all through paypal before but they charge a lot of fees.

I believe this is a Minor Morris 10 series as far as I can tell from other pics. I am selling for a friend.
It is a project body is straight, hood is fiberglass looks to be new never cut or installed.
He said it is a 1940 but I have no way of knowing.
Vin / ID tag is there it is the only part that has rust. The rest of the body looks rusty but its primer spots.
It is on a ford courier chassis according to my friend. It is no longer in the DMV system he said he can't even remember when it was registered.
It appears to be all there doors open and shut nicely so does the rear hatch. Rear lenses are glass.
Interior : dash & steering column are there, no front seats. Rears seat is there.
This is a total project car.
Asking 1000.00 ObO if this is not reasonable make me an offer I don't know much about this type of car. If it doesn't sell it might end up going to scrap yard.
That said, if anyone else has parts they need or parts they want to sell/trade/whatever, I am looking for plenty of parts.

The truck being built is supposed to be a 1959 and the spare truck is a 1961. I have not confirmed the dates on these but I doubt there are too many differences between them.
Anyways, if anyone has parts they need or want to sell or trade, I am interested in anything and everything.

Hello Fellow Minor Owners,

Has anyone out there got a pair of original, not repro, triangular chrome corner cappings they might like to sell. They go at the foot of the quarter lights. Mine have been drilled for mirrors by a previous owner and are a right mess. Fair price plus the usual postage charges offered. My Minor (1955 Series II) is very original and I like to keep it that way so if you can help I would be most grateful.

Weather here in France delightful and the Minor is out and about and much admired.

Cheers,

We have lots of Morris Minors!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and let The Experience Ring what we do here at McLeod's British Cars.

We have been in business for the last 40 years here in Maumelle, Arkansas. McLeod's started as a hobby when Ronnie McLeod was printing T-shirts for a living out of our warehouse. In the mid 70's Ronnie started by buying and selling (not so old at the time) British Cars. He would buy one, fix it, and turn around and sell it, people that bought these cars would end up later calling him for service. When parts were becoming hard to find Ronnie started buying parts cars and using them to keep these customer cars on the road as well as fixing his own cars. In 1980 when all the dealers were closed there was only one business here in central Arkansas that carried parts. This lone business had a bad reputation for having terribly overpriced parts. Ronnie saw an opportunity and started getting in contact with importers and began carrying commonly needed parts. This enabled him to provide parts at a fair price and better service to the local british car community. From there the business expanded to what it is today with a warehouse that is stocked with almost everything that you could find in a Moss or VB warehouse and some things that very few people have. Over the years Ronnie has bought out other businesses that were closing their doors and which has supplied us with a stock of NOS parts. We also have close to 400 cars here on site that are either for sale or are being parted out.

We have now started an ebay store that can be seen here. http://stores.ebay.com/ClassicBrits?_rdc=1

If you can name it we most likely do it here on site. We also carry things such as rebuilt heads or good used overdrive transmissions.

I know when I read a thread I like seeing pictures so here is a few pictures of what we do.

Here is just a sample of our yard

I am looking for a really good set of quarterlight rubber seals for the Beastie. Her original ones have perished and let in quite a bit of water. If anyone has new ones, I will pay a reasonably good price and the carriage from anywhere worldwide.
Secondly, I'm looking for a really good set of the earliest type of wheelrims with the brake-adjusting hole in them. I have had a set blasted, but they require a lot of Cataloy work to fill in the pits and two nails have been sanded to below the quick already and I'm nowhere near finished one and I'm losing heart! Obviously due to the size/weight these would have to come from the UK.
Can anyone help?

Greetings everyone,
I am in need of both the left hand and right hand rear van door hooks and the little clips that hold them when not in use so they don't bounce around. Attached are two photos of the hook and clip. The hooks need to be straight (no kinks or bends). Please reply with a photo an price. Morris Flower Truck
Designed by Alec Issigonis, the Morris Minor 1000 1/4 ton commercial was known for its excellent handling, which featured rack-and-pinion steering and independent front suspension by torsion bars. Unlike the cars it had it's own frame which gave it stability and sure footed operation. Morris Minors were built in a number of variations, including Sedans both two and four door versions, Convertibles,Travellers, Panel delivery's, and Pickups. From the approximate total production of 1.6 Million built from 1948 to 1973, their ranks have dwindled. Today, the commercial survivors are always in demand. They prove ideal for business promotion and advertising as well as still being very useful. That being said; the Morris Minor pick-up truck was and remains steadfast with a distinct advantage of being easily restored. They're clubs and part vendors around the world with most all necessary bits to renew these non-ephemeral little cars. Timeless design and legendary reliability, it is loved internationally by British Car enthusiasts.
This Morris Truck has a 1275 cc engine and transmission with disc brakes and other upgrades...
I am looking to buy a refurbed Morris Minor, I'm based in Shropshire and I understand there is a guy based outside Rowton with a field full of Morris Minors. Does anyone know his contact details or if he has a website? Apparently he refurbs/rebuilds them to your spec.

I've also found another company down south who also do this, but I'd potientially like to buy off someone local to me,

Hi everyone out there!

I owned a 1959 Morris Minor pick up in 1968, long since gone! I turned 60 last year and my wife bought me a 1971 Truck (1098cc) as a present and project
I DESPERATELY need the rear side panels which it seems were filled up with P38 years ago - if anyone has an old truck or knows where I cn get these panels from I would be very grateful. I can source anywhere in the world (I am in the shipping business!) so Cyprus Sr Lanka NZ Oz USA etc etc are all ok if the parts I need are there
This is all that is holding up the completition of this baby!
Thanks!

decent body parts for later Morris Minor. These parts have been stored for many years and now need to find another home. They are not perfect, however appear complete with the doors having good glass and frames, for instance. I just could not bear to see these slightly rare objects to never be used and appreciated..
Although once for sale, and purchased, they were eventually returned as the buyer decided he did not need them in the end. These parts are now available to someone who really can use them at no charge. The goal is not to get rid of them, but to have them enjoy a second life as parts of a fine and beautiful chassis.

I would like to find a new home for my Vega GT 13" wheels. I have 5 wheels, 4 of which have brand new tires. After less than fifty miles on the new tires, I decided to go with a stock look and original 14" rims. I am only asking $300 to recover the cost of the tires, you get the rims for free! I have attached a pic of the rims on my Morris and a pic of the full set which shows the 4-spoke style. Located in San Luis Obispo, CA. David Floyd (805)235-1207

Most of this car is available for parts. All the glass and most of the chrome is still there. You just have to come and unbolt the bits you want. The boot lid has gone, I need some of the front suspension for my runner, the bonnet and front guards will become garden art. it looks like the gearbox has been updated at some stage and the floor pan is stuffed. the engine turns over by hand but I haven't tried to start it. Offer a price and I'll most likely accept it.

Hello,I'm over from the Triumph forum.Would like to know if anyone is interested in this carb before I list it on ebay. I have had it several years now but could never figure out what kind of funny lbc it fit. After looking through hundreds of application numbers in my S.U. carb book and then once again,I gave up. Went to car shows and looked under hoods and still no luck. Very odd,bad luck? So finally when a guy I knew came over to pick up some MG parts mentioned he had a Morris I showed it to him. Voila!(excuse my french) He told me I could not find it in my book because it is not an 1 1/4 as I thought but 1 1/8.sorry I never heard of this. He told me it probably came off a Morris of about 1958. That is what I know.Right or wrong. Also I do know I retrieved it from a old shed full of English parts from a old guy who was moving and said most of the parts I bought were in there for the last 35-40yrs. Add 3 yrs and probably been sitting unused at least that long. It is very complete and has the metal dist pipe still attached. Also comes with the air box that bolts to it. Old and original as found. Hopefully I have given you as honest a description as I can. Did'nt mean to bore you. I was going to list this for 50.00,so any offer over that plus shipping to where you are can have it. First to post and contact me wins. Please pm me if you have to. Thank you. Patrick.
